About Us

Background:

Wolfpack Lacrosse Club formed in the summer of 2010 with 35 girls who wanted to play travel lacrosse.  Two teams were formed; a high school varsity level team and a mixed team of middle school aged players and first year high school players who were interested in learning the game of lacrosse. To date from the original 35 players 10 players have gone on to play college lacrosse.

Our staff consists of individuals who are all dedicated to making players in the club the best they can be both on and off the field.  We believe as coaches we are role models for our players and take this responsibility very seriously.

Philosophy:  Wolfpack provides the student-athlete a team centric environment where each player has the opportunity to contribute to the success of the team and grow as an individual.  Our goal is for all of our players to become leaders both on and off the lacrosse field.

Our program stresses four Wolfpack Vaules:

Team-Centric: Lacrosse is a team sport.  As a club we value every player's commitment to the program and ensure everyone is treated fairly and receives the maximum playing time. We stress team in everything we do.

Skills vs. Winning:  Wolfpack coaches are committed to assisting all of our players to reach their fullest potential.  Individual skills and well-rounded team players are more important than winning games.

Confidence vs. Showcasing:  We believe as our players improve their skills, they become more confident and learn to contribute to the success of the team.  When they return to their high schools, coaches recoginze a vast improvement in their individual skills, leadership, and team play.

Life as a Sport:  We create conditions that translate into life experinces through our community service opportunites, exposure to college/recruiters, and other club opportunites to establish lifelong friendships.

Structure of Wolfpack Teams:

Wolfpack is organized by a players skill level  rather than by graduation year.  We believe players in high school and college never play with girls their same age so why should club lacrosse be any different.  The program consists currently of three  travel teams with 18-24 players per team and one developmental team (Wolf Pup Porgram).  We particpate in two distinct seasons a fall (Oct-Nov) season, and a summer (Jun-Jul) season.

Clinics:

We also run various specialized clinics to improve a players stick skills, speed and agility. We also hold a special clinic for goalies and coaches who want to improve their goalies skills.
